Rockets Win 117-113; Sit On Top Of Western Conference

Posted by Devon Bennett on

The Rockets won against the LeBron led Cav’s to win 117-113! The Rockets are back on top of the Western Conference and are the best team in basketball again without CP3. The Rockets huge advantage here was huge rebounding by Clint Capela, and clutch plays by PJ Tucker at the end of the game. Both players came in the clutch and saved Harden as he played the ENTIRE second half. Which Is unacceptable, to be playing a player that many minutes this soon into the season. D’Antoni will need to fix his rotations soon, or Harden will get gassed way too quickly this year.

Harden finished with 35 PTS, 11REB and 13 AST. This helped boost the Rockets in the first half, leading them to a slight half edge vs. the Cavs. The Rockets then stormed back in the 3rd quarter in which the offense looked flawless and a perfect D’Antoni offense. Ball movement was a top priority, and shooting the open shot was there every time. This was the key to the win as everyone was able to take care of the ball and make sure the best shot was available. Clint Capela finished with a 19 PT and 11 REB performance, which absolutely helped the Rockets a lot. The Rockets will need Clint Capela to keep dominating as he has done and will rely on him later in the playoffs. This kid is going to earn every dollar the Rockets will throw at him.

The Rockets will be on top of the Western Conference and play the Grizzlies (which they are 0-2 against). This will definitely be the next challenge for this Rockets squad, and hopefully, a Moute will be fully healthy for this matchup. He was missed tonight.

Keep it here for everything Houston!
