Deshaun Watson is the man. He may even be the myth. He might even be the legend. Am I going too far? Is it too early to call this kid the best QB in the AFC South? Am I crazy to want to build around this guy for the rest of his career? Can we throw his statue in front of NRG? ARE WE OVERREACTING?
No. Deshaun Watson has developed in every category I thought he wouldn’t be good in. His accuracy was a problem week 1-2, his throwing power, and decision making was very off ass well. Never have I seen a QB adjust to different defenses as a rookie like Watson did these past two weeks. I am amazed at the progress of our young Quarterback. Deshaun Watson has led the Texans to 90 points in the last two games. 90 points. Last year, we had a stretch of 6 games to score a total of 90 points. Watson is a special kid who deserves to be the focus of every talk show this morning and every morning regarding his future. Deshaun Watson obliterated a defense two weeks in a row. I was maybe thinking the Patriots defense was just SO bad that he was able to do that. No, he managed to do it to a new defensive scheme and even had a BETTER day against it. Watson was 25/34 for 283 yards with 4 TDs and 1 INT. He even added 24 yards rushing and a TD. Watson looked incredible on Sunday, and I think it’s time to jump on the Texans hype. What rookie has impacted his team in this positive in a way recently? Luck was a great addition to his rookie season but has yet to prove his durability won’t be an issue. Watson easily beats Bortles, and Mariota still has time to shine. Watson can easily be the best QB in the AFC South after this year and it would be an honor he deserves. The Texans have had a shaky road to start the season, but a ton of promise has been in this team. The Texans should truly be 3-1, but Brady is gonna Brady. Watson seems to have developed every week, with his interceptions going down, yards and touchdowns going up. He can only go so high after this week, but he will be an exciting player to watch all year. The Texans have finally found their QB.
