Chris Paul is ready to suit up for his first game since the season opener this year. CP3 had a 4 PT 8 REB and 10 AST game while playing on a bad knee, and sitting out the 4th quarter for the Rockets against the Warriors.
According to Jonathan Feigen from the Houston Chronicle, Chris Paul is expected to have his second season debut on Thursday night against the Phoenix Suns. The Rockets are currently 2nd in the West, .5 games behind the Warriors for first place in the Western Conference. The Rockets are currently averaging a 111.2 PPG and give up 104.6 PPG without CP3. CP3 will definitely be a boost to this team as he will bring energy and great veteran leadership that Harden can co-lead with as well. CP3 also has the ability to bring a great defensive presence to the court, as he has always been able to be one of the top defenders in the league. Chris Paul will definitely bring a well-needed boost, and allow Harden and Eric Gordon to rest a little more as they have done everything for this team, and I really do mean EVERYTHING. The Rockets currently have Harden putting up 30.7 Points a game and 10.3 Assists a game as well. He is being asked to do everything once again, but CP3 will make sure to take the load off of him. Eric Gordon is right behind Harden with 22.1 PPG and is mainly used for scoring so his other stats have been low. Eric has also helped on the defensive side of things as he seems to be being more aggressive than normal.
CP3 will be a great addition and I know many Rockets fans are awaiting his comeback. Wait no further as he will be starting tonight.
