It's A Houston Thing

Astros Win 4-0 to Advance to the World Series!

Posted by Devon Bennett on

The Astros beat the Yankees to move onto the World Series! This is it Houston. This has been the moment we have been waiting for all year. We have finally made the step to the next level. No more 2005 shenanigans. This is the year. This is the year you prove everyone wrong. Nobody believed this team would be at the top this soon. Some made the bold prediction of them being a great team, many were stuck in believing this team was going to be the laughing stock of the MLB forever. Boy, do they look silly right now.

Gattis saved this team, and McCann finished it. I don’t care what you think, or if it was the pitching (which was great by the way I was SHOCKED). Today Gattis woke up the teams bats, and he did it with a solo homer. After this, we could see the home crowd go crazy, and the momentum of the pitching battle from innings 1-4 was finally over. We finally found a player to knock the juice back into this team. Altuve had a solo homer as well, and boy was it beautiful. That put Houston up 2-0, then led us to the beautiful McCann double, which let Correa and Gurriel score.

The pitching was amazing, and frankly, it got us out of some sticky situations. Also, Bregman had a hell of a game today. His throw to home was a gem. Morton had great pitching to start off the game, and kept it consistent. He was ready to show up. McCullers came into the game at the 6th inning and did not look back as well. He had some troubles, but never let them get to him. This team is serious.

This team is ready to win. This team is serious. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for the next round. Houston, this team is special, and I hope they keep the vibe up.
