Are you truly from Houston? If you can relate to any of these, chances are you might be! These are some things that we personally relate too, what about you?
Traffic: Do I even need to go any further? If you have ever gotten onto 290, or even have driven home during rush hour on 45, I-10 or 59, you automatically know how bad the traffic is to endure. A normal 10-minute commute can push all the way up to 30! If there was one thing I hated about the beautiful Houston, Texas, it would be those long rush hour commutes.
The Weather: In Houston, there are usually two seasons, Summer, and Summer Part 2 (aka Fall). We have been lucky to have the recent snow and cold weather come into town, but we also have to endure 9 months of 90+ degree weather. Oh, did I mention the humidity too?
Sports: It sucks knowing that Houston sports are somewhat cursed. We have had multiple opportunities to win, and we have had either devastating injuries, or we end up choking. Tex-Mex Overload: Have you ever driven on 59? 45? Have you counted how many "Tex-Mex" places there are on the side of the roads? I don't think there's a way to choose only one "Tex-Mex" place to eat at all the time, and that's a good thing! If only their food was actually decent...
These are just some of the things that you can relate too if you think you're truly from Houston. What did you relate to the most? Are there any major ones I missed? Let us know!
